Lefty Casual 2.0 is an update to the popular left-handed handwriting font which has been available as Shareware for the last two years. Lefty Casual now sports three weights, Casual (the original), Bold, and Marker (What Casual would look like if written with a Sharpie® Marker.
Lefty Casual was originally intended to fool people into thinking they are seeing real handwriting, while providing a consistency that allows the face to be quite legible. The original Lefty Casual is currently being used as the title typestyle for Pixar’s Typestry software, and has also appeared in the August issue of Popular Science, on the cover article about Apple’s Newton!
The additional weights are being provided at the request of the registered users of Lefty Casual v1.1.
To get the “Bold” face, you must choose “LeftyCasual” and then Bold it within your application. “LeftyMarker” is independent of the other two faces, and has significant spacing differences.
